WITH THEIR SONG “SOLDADO LATINO AMERICANO”
PROCEEDS FROM SINGLE DONATED TO COFEM

June 15, 2017 – This week the two time GRAMMY nominated Regional Mexican music group VOZ DE MANDO proclaim their commitment to give voice to immigrants and strengthen the cause of immigrant rights through their song “Soldado Latinoamericano” in conjunction with COFEM – one of the most influential organizations in the country.
At a press conference held this week in the heart of Downtown L.A. Olvera Street VOZ DE MANDO acknowledged that the immigrant population lives with a sense of insecurity and promised to donate money from the sales of their new single “Soldado Latinoamericano” which has become an anthem for today’s immigrant community.
Present at the press conference were VOZ DE MANDO members and brothers Gaxiola Jorge and Miguel along with COFEM Vice President Raúl Macias and Executive Director Anabella Bastida. Also present were the young beneficiaries of scholarships Brenda Ayala, Jesika de Jesus and Ricardo Beltrán.
These proceeds will be delivered during their June 25 concert at Pico Rivera Sports Arena.
The group states that the alliance with “Consejo de Federaciones Mexicanas en Norteamérica (COFEM) [Mexican Federal Council in North America] is very important to unify Latino immigrants in the country and make a common front where is recognized as a community that contributes to the growth of this country, where their children were born.”
