Based in Chicago, this dynamic ensemble of young Mexican-American musicians keep the history of this festive folk style alive, while infusing the music with a modernistic approach. “Concierto Día de Muertos” features a compilation of mariachi classics from the group’s latest album series titled “Esencia,” a tribute to the golden age of Mexican music. Mariachi Herencia de México will also perform traditional Day of the Dead songs, including “Paloma Negra,” “La Llorona,” and a special mariachi tribute to Disney’s Coco.
