Nominated for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ “Aztlan” a 12 songs, penned by front man Leon Larregui and was inspired by the mythical birthplace of the Mexica people who would later come to rule the Aztec Empire, the album incorporates psychedelic rock, synth pop, indie rock, and classic rock en español influences and explores the universal themes of identity, technology, social-consciousness, and love in the modern world.

The album was produced by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Stereophonics, Noel Gallagher and Florence and The Machine), Phill Vinall (Placebo, Pulp, Mark Knopfler, Elastic) and Zoé, and it was mixed by Craig Silvey at Toast Studios in London and mastered by Greg Calbi (Blondie, Deep Purple, Arcade Fire, Foster The People, Fleet Foxes) at Sterling Sound in New York. The new album follows Prográmaton, Zoé’s 2013 release.

The 19th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards will broadcast Thursday, November 15, 2018 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The award ceremony will air live on Univision Network starting at 8 pm E / Pacific time (7 pm C).
