Vesper Public Relations. Los Angeles CA. May 2017. The sounds of a new musical group come to shake the American fans that are thirsty for quality and content oriented sounds in pop and British rock.

This is where the project of Fran Iturbe , GARITANO, found a very special niche, to unite the talent of Jon Button (bass) and Chris Cano (drums) and create a new generation of artists with common affinities.

GARITANO also summarizes the long tradition of American songwriters to create this first album which contains songs like:  Lágrimas, El Tiro De Gracia, Mirando Atrás, Saber De Ti, Canción De Amor, Arenas Movedizas, Algo, Juegos De Rol, Nada, Eileen y Carolina.

Some of these compositions were written by Carlos Castro and Fran Iturbe except “Arenas Movedizas” (JM Corman / F. Iturbe), “Saber de ti” (Amaia Arriaran / Itube) “Role Games” and “Eileen” Malacara / F. Iturbe). The album was recorded at Watersound Studios, Studio City by Carlos Castro.

In “Bienvenida Tristeza”, Fran relies on his memories to adopt a nostalgic tone and rescue songs that are part of his personal history. These are melodies that have helped him to transcend in his professional career and in other projects.

The idea of GARITANO has been driven thanks to Hugo González, in charge of his label Hip Latin Music; and album producer & composer of several songs Cárlos Castro (Watersound Productions).

The nostalgic tone of the guitar chords has led Fran to put a distinctive touch on songs performed with Spanish rock legends such as Mikel Erentxun and Enrique Bunbury. However, this time it is his own production that opens the way to his stories and feelings.

The production took place in:
Fil Studios Monrovia, CA
Mixed in Harddrive Analog & Digital Studios N. Hollywood, CA by Doug Messenger and Luke Rangel
Mastering: Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios Hollywood CA by Scott Sedillo
Executive Production: Hugo Gonzalez / Hip Latin Music LLC
