After dedicating her previous single to true and lasting love, “La Fernández” continues to explore her romantic side, this time with a vernacular version of an absolute classic by Juan Gabriel.
If we could define Camila Fernández’s new chapter, it would undoubtedly stand out for two things: her determination to bring a breath of fresh air to mariachi and traditional Mexican music, as well as to reclaim love as the driving force of the human soul. An example of the above is her most recent single “Una Vida” and the follow up “Si Quieres” out today, an original song by Juan Gabriel that holds the distinction of being one of the absolute classics of the Divo de Juárez.
In this new version of this classic, Camila remains faithful to the message she shared in “Una Vida”: there are still many old-fashioned loves in the world, the kind that are lived passionately and seek to attain eternity through their union.
In order to portray this ideal, “Si Quieres,” features a video with a key element: fire as a representation of the flame of love. This visualizer stars Fernández herself, who, through subtle movements, takes us by the hand through the song: from the gentleness of the verses to the outburst that erupts in the chorus. While she gifts us with the lavish poetry written by Juan Gabriel in his composition, the same poetry that in Camila’s voice becomes an anthem that embraces and burns our heart.
