Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires (2025)
1 hour 30 minutes / Spanish with English subtitles / Animation
Director: Juan Jose Meza-Leon
Cast: Horacio Garcia Rojas, Omar Chaparro, Jorge R Gutierrez

SYNOPSIS:
Set in the Aztec Empire on the brink of Spanish conquest, Batman Azteca reimagines the Dark Knight as Yohualli Coatl—a young man fueled by grief and driven by justice. After witnessing his father’s murder by conquistadors, he transforms himself into a symbol of resistance, training in secret and fighting to defend his people. Merging Indigenous myth with modern legend, this animated epic offers a radical retelling of the Batman mythos. With rich visuals and bold political subtext, it asks: what does justice look like in the face of empire?
