Los Angeles. July 2020. The Monterrey, Mexico-based rapper W Corona presents En Vivo Desde Casa, featuring four acoustic versions of the singles from his latest EP Nueva Ruta. Recorded live directly from his home studio in the city of Monterrey, W Corona continues to keep his listeners’ attention with his diverse releases, just like a chameleon who constantly changes shape.
“Cuadro Chico”, “California High”, “Mal De Amor” and “Bendecido” are the four songs and videos featured on En Vivo Desde Casa. From the reggae vibe of “Mal De Amor” to the dynamic turntables of “California High”, W Corona is accompanied on the live EP by Pedro, Edson, Maury, Erick and DJ Ventura. Showcasing a rawer and more relaxed side of his repertoire, listeners will enjoy W Corona’s unique fusion of trap and regional Mexican music on this new EP, which invites listeners to be a testament to the organic approach to mixing these genres that form a part of the “New Latin Movement”. Via W Corona’s interpretation, we see that these genres do in fact go hand in hand. It could not be otherwise because W Corona has always been faithful to his origins but with an open mind to new musical horizons and an ambition that continually grows.
