Vesper Public Relations. Los Ángeles, CA. March 2019 –Vesper Public Relations, founder Mariluz Gonzalez is featured in Billboard magazine’s article “The PR Ladies Behind Latin Superstars” & the only San Fernando Valley ( L.A.) raised of Mexican origin on the list.

In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2019 Billboard compiled a list of the most important publicists in the Latin market and  Mariluz Gonzalez is amongst them, highlighting their work in the promotion and marketing of Latin music and entertainment in the U.S.

Mariluz was asked what she, as a woman and as owner of her own independent multi-cultural PR agency, has learned over more than a decade of promoting Latin music.

“Over the years I’ve learned not to take myself for granted, not to undervalue my work,” said the woman responsible for media campaigns of many Fonovisa recording artists (the Regional Mexican powerhouse a division of Universal Music Entertainment) based in Hollywood.

The Vesper PR owner, and long time co-host of Travel Tips to Aztlan on KPFK, the last “Alt Latino” radio show in Los Angeles, goes on to say “I enjoy what I do so much that I find myself working above and beyond the agreed services and not charging for that extra effort.”

In 2008, Mariluz Gonzalez founded Vesper Public Relations and Marketing, an independent multi-cultural agency located in Los Angeles, California. Gonzalez’s mainly responsible for the media campaigns of Fonovisa recording artists (a division of Universal Music Entertainment).

While Mariluz feels blessed to be able to work with Universal Music’s Fonovisa’s roster of talented rising stars and legends of Latin music she also prides herself on being a part of the history, present, and potentially the future of Latin culture.

Vesper PR’s lists of clients are as varied as the traditions of Latin culture in Southern California. Mariluz and her Vesper PR team have helped launched traditional SoCal events like the 11th Annual -La Feria de los Moles (the largest Mexican food festival in North America), and soon to be traditional events such as the inaugural  Tropicalia Music and Taco Festival. While not involved at the very beginning, Mariluz and Vesper PR are proud to have represented the East L.A. Parade for the past 9 years.

Mariluz is also proud of her client’s development both personally as well as in business. She relishes the great appreciation she receives from clients turned friends like fashion designer Johana Hernandez of Glaudi Bridal, and filmmaker Carlos Hurtado.

Says Mariluz, “the Billboard recognition is amazing, but my greatest joy comes from being able to help tell the stories of our clients.” She adds, “my team and I are always excited when we find ordinary people doing extraordinary things, and we love to share their story with the community around them and introduce them to a wider audience.”
