08 Sep Regional Mexican super star Gerardo Ortiz celebrates ‘Entre Dios y el Diablo’ at The Conga Room
Los Angeles. – (September 8, 2011) – Continuing it’s reign as the venue of choice for Latin stars of all genres, the world-renown Conga Room was celebration central for newly minted Gold Record Regional Mexican artist Gerardo Ortiz’s record release party last night.
The Regional Mexican star, who just released the much anticipated album Entre Dios y El Diablo, possibly the most important release of its genre this year, presented a private showcase for media, VIPs, and special guests at the Conga Room. The ultra exclusive event was the official launch party for the recent release and an opportunity for Ortiz to share his latest work in the intimate setting of Los Angeles’ signature Latin venue.
Ortiz took the stage and sang an appetizing, crowd thumping set that included the radio hit “Aquiles Afirmo†and the title track “Entre Dios y el Diablo.†The night was full of musical surprises as guest artists from Del Records appeared one by one, including Goyo Gastelum, Noel Torres, and La Nena Guzman. The biggest surprise of all was special guest Regulo Caro, who wasn’t just there to support a fellow artist but, as Ortiz’s cousin, also made the occasion a family affair.
Entre Dios y el Diablo is available in two formats: original version with 12 tracks and “deluxe†limited edition version, with a second album that includes nine more songs by the acclaimed vocalist.
