LOS ANGELES —Happy New Year’s Everyone! and reminding you that The 3rd Annual New Year’s Race is here!– “Los Angeles at Night” Half Marathon, Resolution 5K/10K, and Kids Fun Run bridges communities across Los Angeles, breaking language and cultural barriers by keeping health and fitness at the center of its adrenaline-packed evening on January 3rd, 2015 in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The event welcomes runners, joggers, speed walkers and strutters of all ages, making it an event for family and friends alike to get a quite literal running start on the new year. Participants from Southern California, the country, and around the globe, are set to celebrate the new yearby being a part of this increasingly popularNew Year’s Race in 2015.

The HalfMarathon&Resolution 5K/10K will start at 6pm at the intersection of 7th Street and Grand Ave., while the Kid’s Fun Run will start at 4pm on Spring Street between 1st and Temple across from City Hall, both in Downtown Los Angeles.

All races will have a finish line and celebration zone located at 227 N. Spring Street at the Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles. All participants will be awarded a finisher’s medal souvenir. Registration will end when capacity is reached.This event is a public spectator event.

Registered participants of the3rd Annual New Year’s Race – “Los Angeles at Night”range from Southern California to countries from around the globe such as Brazil , New Zealand, Denmark, Canada, Singapore, France, Australia, Switzerland, Iceland, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Italy, Finland, Japan, Norway, Argentina, South Africa, Puerto Rico, Mexico, China and Thailand.

One of the main attractions for the New Year’s Race Half Marathon course are the Taiko Drummers, who will fuel runners with their heart pounding performance near the entrance of Dodger Stadium, where participants will have the unique experience of running inside and through the historic stadium.

“With over 5,000 runners already pre-registered for the race, we expect over a thousand more to register by event day,” said Julio Garcia II, Race Director for the New Year’s Race. “This year we welcome the surprise of an increased attraction of runners from around the world,” added Garcia II.

The Health & Fitness Expo component of the New Year’s Race will begin on Friday, January 2nd, 2015 from 12:00pm- 7:00pm and continue through Saturday, January 3rd, 2015from 9:00am- 4:00pm at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel located at 506 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90071 inside both the Biltmore Bowl and Regency Rooms.
