ONE TRIBE NATION Joins GRAMMY® Live in L.A. Contest!

 The L.A. buzz band may have written the unofficial theme song for #OccupyLA movement: “It’s Time”

(January 19, 2012 Los Angeles, CA) — New representatives of the hidden beauty and multi-dimensional spirit of Los Angeles today, One Tribe Nation, have been garnering quite a buzz rapidly gaining accolades for its powerful message, with their single “It’s Time” (Click here to watch) a video inspired by their performance on the steps of City Hall during Occupy LA in solidarity of this worldwide movement. It is this song that may have become the unofficial anthem of this historic movement in Los Angeles.

Furthering their international musical message One Tribe Nation is participating in the contest GRAMMY® Live in L.A to perform during music’s biggest week. The Afro-Latino funk rock band, led by guitarist Michael Sanders, took its thoughtful and provocative glimpse into the American soul and life of Angelenos to the next level as they performed “It’s Time” during the now ubiquitous Occupy Wall Street movement on October 23rd, 2011 at the Los Angeles City Hall. Renowned video and film maker Leonardo Bondani – whose body of work includes MalditaVecindad, Tijuana No, Kid Frost, and El Vuh just to name a few – recorded a video of One Tribe Nation’s “It’s Time”. 

As they prepare for their March 1st album release, the guys are booking a few shows to give the public an early preview of the new material. Catch One Tribe Nation LIVE in a special performance at Skinny’s Lounge, 4923 Lankershiem Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91601 on Tuesday January 24, 2012 at 9:00pm.
