Vesper Public Relations. Los Angeles, CA. Tuesday January 29, 2013. Actress, host, and bilingual talent Melissa Martinez has many passions, but all of them place her right where she belongs: in front of an audience. She is bilingual and bicultural and has been in front of a camera for as long as she can remember, and shows no signs of stopping.
The charismatic Colombia-born actress, news anchor and performer started her multifaceted career at 10, as part of a female orchestra, and as a young comedic actress in various shows on TeleCaribe. The daughter of an actress and a journalist, Melissa decided to follow in her father’s footsteps next and got a degree in Communications, which led her to not only report in her native Colombia but later combine entertainment and presenting as the entertainment correspondent for major Spanish-language network Telemundo in the USA. She later joined NTN24 as international entertainment correspondent and LATV as the host of the show Astroloko.
Currently, Melissa is traveling the world as the host of “La Cocina de la Abuela”, a show about each country’s traditional dishes and delicacies. She has also returned to comedy, one of her biggest loves, in the TV show “El Pelado de la Noche”, on Azteca America. Melissa also starred in acclaimed singer Cristian Castro’s music videos “Lo Dudo” and “Buenos Dias Amor”.
