About The Conga Room:
Founded by real estate entrepreneur Brad Gluckstein and co-owned by Jimmy Smits, Jennifer Lopez, Paul Rodriguez, Sheila E., Amaury Nolasco, Baron Davis, Trevor Ariza and will.I.am, the Conga Room is the premiere Latin music venue in Los Angeles. Having swept onto the LA scene in 1998, the club earned a following with its hip ambiance, hot performers and special events, as it broke through tradition and hosted record launches, movie debuts, and even award shows and parties, including the 2001 Latin Grammy Award Presentation. The Conga Room concert roster has included Cuban and Latin tropical legends such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and the Buena Vista Social Club, as well as international pop and rock stars like Shakira, Juanes and Carlos Santana, and has now expanded to include urban contemporary nights. In its new home at the L.A. LIVE entertainment complex in downtown LA, the club includes a state-of-the-art stage and audio-visual amenities including broadcast capabilities, the adjoining BOCA restaurant and catering, salsa lessons, and an array of top-billing acts any given night of the week.
