This young artist, from South Central Los Angeles, describes the plight of families like his that came to the U.S. without legal documents. Through his songs he provides hope to youth to be brave and build a better future, without any fear of failure.

On first single “Un Nuevo Mundo” (In A New World) he expresses his powerful sentiment: “We all are human beings, united hand to hand, We are brothers, united we walk, To the future, is not safe, won’t be easy, but I’m sure; we can together save the world.”

Jae-P has been christened as “Poeta de la Comunidad” (The Poet of the community) because via hip-hop and rap he has captivated an audience that has lived unfairly with few opportunities. He sings, not only of his dreams and goals, but also of social justice and of the immigration situation.

On many occasions, Jae-P has pointed out “the problem is when we think that life is a game, when in reality is not, is more serious than that.”

Jae-P debut release in 2003, when he was only 19 years old and since its release “Ni de aquí, ni de allá,” produced by Univision Records, rocketed to the top of the charts, selling over 140,000 units of this album alone.
