Latin music superstar and multiple GRAMMY award winner, Pepe Aguilar is set for the international premier of the video for his new single titled “Chaparrita” on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.(PST/EST) on Galavision/Univision network’s popular entertainment show Escandalo Del Medio Dia hosted by Charytin Goyco.
A truly unique premier by the Galavision/Univision network and Escandalo who will be speaking to Pepe Aguilar via telephone from his native Zacatecas, Mexico where he is currently vacationing for the holidays and the shows’ popular anchor Charytin. Pepe Aguilar will share with Charytin special anecdotes about the creation of his video as well as future plans.
“Chaparrita” is a track penned by Pepe and will soon be available on digital release.
Pepe was involved 100% in the preparation of the video, the storyline as well as in its development. To direct the video, the superstar artist worked together with Ricardo Moreno, whose credits include working with top recording artists such as: Sean Paul, Juan Gabriel, Tigres del Norte, Conjunto Primavera and Jenni Rivera amongst others.
The film shoot took place in Los Angeles and the Mexican state of Jalisco, long hours of laborious work and the collaboration of all the production team and Pepe Aguilar himself equated an excellent and fun video.
Acting in the video “Chaparrita” is Pepe Aguilar’s accordion player, Roberto el ‘Pato Partida’, whose storyline is as follows, when during a concert he catches a glimpse in the audience of a beautiful, short and irresistible fan. Pato decides to pursue his newly found love interest thus taking him through a series of adverse and witty situations, everything to win the heart of La “Chaparrita”.
The video is set to premier on December 22, 2009 in the United States and immediately will be distributed to leading entertainment shows in the U.S. and Mexico.
Audiences will definitely enjoy “Chaparrita” leaving all the gentleman in awe.
Pepe Aguilar finalizes the year by sharing time with his family in his native Zacatecas, Mexico, as he gears up to promote his new album in 2010.
